J.J. WOLF VS CARLOS ALCARAZ PREDICTION
World number three Carlos Alcaraz was in electrifying form en-route to defending his Indian Wells title back in March but he has struggled with his fitness since, with a troubling forearm injury keeping him out of Monte-Carlo and Rome whilst hampering him in Madrid.
The 21-year-old has not played since a three-set exit to eventual champion Andrey Rublev in Madrid at the start of the month but the draw gods have been kind to him here as he takes on lucky loser J.J. Wolf for what should be a blistering win in any case.
25-year-old Wolf is capable of much better tennis than his current deflated ranking of 107th suggests but he brings a 1-6 record into Roland-Garros and he was well beaten in the last round of qualifying before riding his luck into the main draw. Take Alcaraz to win in comfortable straight sets.
