THE PREDICTION

World number seven Holger Rune was made to work hard for his opening over Sumit Nagal, taking the first set on Wednesday before rain saw their match delayed until today. The Dane was pegged back before rallying well to win in three but he will have to improve significantly if he is to challenge this version of world number nine Grigor Dimitrov, who beat him to the Brisbane 500 title in January. 32-year-old Dimitrov also resumed a delayed second round match today, beating Miomir Kecmanovic in straight sets, to look the more resolute but Rune finished runner-up to Andrey Rublev here last season to prove his credentials in these conditions as certainly the more comfortable clay-courter of the two. 20-year-old Rune won their first encounter in four sets at Wimbledon last summer but Dimitrov has taken their last two encounters in straight sets to look the slight favourite at this moment in time. Back the Bulgarian to earn at least a set to leave the victor up to chance.

TIP: GRIGOR DIMITROV TO WIN A SET
