21-year-old Clara Tauson set a career-high WTA world ranking of 33rd in early 2022 after winning her first two WTA titles in 2021. The Dane is currently ranked 96th after working hard off the tour to drag herself back up the rankings after enduring a series of injury setbacks over the past two years and she should be considered a top 30 talent in ability, with some serious results just bubbling under the surface for now. World number 67 Greet Minnen enjoyed the best form of her career last summer, notably beating Venus Williams en-route to the third round at the US Open, but the Belgian should find herself overpowered if Tauson can bring anything like her best to this first tour-level meeting. The Dane once looked the equal of contemporaries Emma Raducanu and Leylah Fernandez on tour but she has plenty of confidence to build back this year. Back Tauson to win at least a set as the likelier of two capable victors.
