THE PREDICTION
World number 12 Barbora Krejcikova won her maiden WTA Masters title in Dubai this time last year and she should be considered a contender for the latter stages across these back-to-back 1000 events. The 28-year-old reached the quarter-finals of the Australian Open before defeat to eventual champion Aryna Sabalenka and she looked in reasonable shape last week in Abu Dhabi before Liudmila Samsonova ousted her, again in the last eight. World number 34 Anastasia Potapova made the quarter-finals of the Linz Open as defending champion there before defeat to Ekaterina Alexandrova and she has yet to fully convince this season. The Russian found the form of her career so far almost a year ago across the Sunshine Double but she has largely struggled to build on that since returning to hardcourts last summer. Back Krejcikova to win outright.
TIP: BARBORA KREJCIKOVA TO WIN
