THE PREDICTION
World number 42 Katerina Siniakova looked in good shape at Indian Wells, exiting in the second round via a three-set defeat to Elina Svitolina before finishing runner-up in the doubles on Saturday. The 27-year-old win two of her five WTA titles last season, including in her last tournament of the year at the Nanchang Open, and her shock victory over Coco Gauff last month in Doha attests to her top level in recent months. World number 66 Ana Bogdan came perilously close to winning her first WTA title, and on home soil, when finishing runner-up to Karolina Pliskova at the Transylvanian Open last month but she has played just once since, losing from a set up to Diana Shnaider at Indian Wells. The Romanian will be eagerly awaiting a return to her favoured clay next month but this looks like an early exit in these conditions. Back Siniakova to win outright.
TIP: KATERINA SINIAKOVA TO WIN
