In-form Nikoloz Basilashvili beat Pablo Carreno Busta in the first round of the Vienna Open last time out before losing to Matteo Berrettini in the round of 16. The Georgian lost to Cam Norrie in three sets at Indian Wells a few weeks ago and he will be a tough man to stop if he can find that level in this last Masters event of the season. 33-year-old Adrian Mannarino enjoyed a brief glimpse of his best level in beating Andrey Rublev at the Kremlin Cup two weeks ago but the Frenchman has overall endured a tough 2021 season. He lost to Basilashvili in straight sets in similar conditions at the Sofia Open four years ago and there is little reason to suggest anything other than an outright win for Basilashvili once again.
