Taiwanese wildcard Yen-Hsun Lu is 37 years old and entering the Australian Open for the 14^th time in his long career. The world number 1008 has won more matches on the Challenger circuit than any other player but that gulf in quality should tell fairly early-on against world number 40 Reilly Opelka. The 23-year-old 6”11 American has, as you would rightly expect, a powerful service game but can also move around the court surprisingly well for his size. This should be a nice ease into the tournament for Opelka, who can be a danger to anybody on his day at this Australian Open. Opelka should be winning this in comfortable straight sets.
