THE PREDICTION
Poland’s rising star Hubert Hurkacz won his second ATP singles title at the Delray Beach Open last month to back up an excellent, slightly surprising Men’s Doubles result at the Paris Masters to finish off last season strongly. The 23-year-old seems to go slightly under the radar on tour and perhaps a deep run at a Grand Slam is the last thing he needs to do to prove he is a threat to anybody on his day. Mikael Ymer is a wonderful player to watch and could yet reach the levels that Hurkacz is at right now, but the Pole’s professionalism should tell in this encounter. Both players to take a set seems tempting but it is likelier that Hurkacz can take this in three.
