- The German put in an incredible run at last season’s Kitzbuhel Open in Austria where he finished as runner-up to Miomir Kecmanovic having beaten the likes of Alexander Bublik and Dusan Lajovic along the way.
THE PREDICTION
World number 101 Yannick Hanfmann has been handed one of the toughest draws in the tournament in Andrey Rublev and the German should struggle to match his opponent here. World number eight Rublev is in incredible form and has an excellent record against players ranked below him that should see him comfortably reach the second week here in Melbourne before he is properly challenged. This looks an assured straight-sets victory for the Russian number two, fresh off the back of winning the ATP Cup alongside Daniil Medvedev.
