Sunderland host Bournemouth at the Stadium of Light as both sides look to get back on track in the Premier League.

Sunderland preview: Late defeat

Sunderland fell victim to a late Raul Jimenez goal last weekend as the Black Cats lost 1-0 to Fulham at Craven Cottage, in what was their third Premier League defeat of the season.

The promoted side are winless in three but, due to their excellent start to the season, are seventh in the Premier League table ahead of the weekend.

Bournemouth preview: Shaky form

Bournemouth showed plenty of fight last weekend to avoid a third straight league defeat, coming from two goals down to draw 2-2 at home to West Ham thanks to goals from Marcus Tavernier and Enes Unal.

The Cherries are a far cry from their early-season form though, and they are seeking their first away win since beating Tottenham 0-1 at the end of August.

Sunderland team news: No change

There are no changes on the injury front with Aji Alese and Habib Diarra still in recovery, while Leo Hjelde, Dennis Cirkin and Romaine Mundle continue to build their fitness with the U21 side.

Regis Le Bris has hinted that rotation is on his mind given the congested schedule, but we may see more of that in the midweek fixture rather than this weekend.

Predicted XI (5-4-1): Roefs; Hume, Mukiele, Ballard, Alderete, Reinildo; Traore, Xhaka, Sadiki, Le Fee; Isidor

Unavailable: Alese (Injured), Hjelde (Fitness), Cirkin (Fitness), Diarra (Injured), Mundle (Fitness)

Questionable:

Bournemouth team news: Semenyo to return?

Antoine Semenyo has a tailored training plan at the moment as he manages an ongoing ankle issue but Andoni Iraola was confident about his involvement on Saturday.

Ryan Christie could be out for up to a month with a knee injury suffered while on international duty, but Justin Kluivert has a small chance of involvement.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Petrovic; Cook, Diakite, Senesi, Truffert; Scott, Adams; Brooks, Tavernier, Semenyo; Evanilson

Unavailable: Akinmboni (Injured), Christie (Injured), Gannon Doak (Injured)

Questionable: Kluivert (Injured), Semenyo (Injured)

Sunderland vs Bournemouth prediction

This is a meeting between two teams who enjoyed excellent starts to the season, but who have dropped off a little of late.

Sunderland, so resolute at the back early on, have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last four games, while Bournemouth have conceded at least once in six of their last seven Premier League outings.

With both sides eager to get back to winning ways, we could see something of an open game, potentially leading to goals at both ends.

Sunderland vs Bournemouth tip: Both teams to score
