Brive are in dire straits right now, with a 43-20 defeat at Pau their seventh loss from their last eight Top 14 games. They have conceded at least 40 points in their last two matches, albeit a month apart at Lyon and Pau, but that looks a reasonable benchmark for what may transpire here at home to leaders Bordeaux. However, the win saw them create a five-point gap that they can extend before Toulouse face in-form Montpellier on Sunday. The title race could get significantly stretched this weekend but Bordeaux's lax performance last weekend makes taking them to cover -3 on the road look a decent option right now.
