THE PREDICTION

Sale Sharks are in desperate need of a win after losing four of their last five Premiership matches, with back-to-back defeats on the road after a poor 27-14 loss at the improving Worcester Warriors. They host a Northampton Saints side seeking a big response to their own loss last weekend in a humbling 26-55 defeat at home to the leaders Leicester Tigers. The Saints have won on the road this season with their excellent stumping of Exeter Chiefs back in September but departing international stars will blunt their axe significantly. Sale were already missing star man Faf de Klerk and could be backed to just edge this one as the outright winners, although taking the Saints with a +4 headstart could be the shrewd move.
