THE TEAM NEWS

DOLPHINS

  • The Dolphins produced a solid first half against South Sydney Rabbitohs but they were unable to maintain that effort in the second half as they succumbed to a third loss in four matches.

GOLD COAST TITANS

  • Gold Coast Titans continued their inconsistent start to the campaign as they went down to Brisbane Broncos in their Queensland derby last week.
  • The Titans will hope to bounce back here with them responding to their two prior losses with a victory and in their bid to do so, they could be boosted by the return of AJ Brimson who is listed among the reserves.

Starting 13: Campbell, Khan-Pereira, Kelly, Sami, J. Fifita, Foran, Boyd, Fotuaika, Randall, T. Fa’asuamaleaui, D. Fifita, Stimson, Liu – Interchanges: Leeming, Clark, Mikaele, Haas – Reserves: Vuna, Kini, Weaver, Brimson, McIntyre

Unavailable: Beau Fermor (Injured), Sam Verrills (Injured), Jaimin Jolliffe (Injured), Toby Sexton (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

This is a tough clash to call as the Dolphins take on Gold Coast Titans in what is the pair’s first meeting in the NRL. The Dolphins come into this having lost three of their last four after an underwhelming second half effort saw them fall to defeat to South Sydney Rabbitohs while the Titans also lost out as they were beaten by league leaders Brisbane Broncos. This one could go either way but the Titans look superior with the ball and if they can tighten up defensively, they should have enough to overcome their rivals.
