New England Patriots are still in the hunt for the AFC East title but need other results to go their way for that to occur. They firstly need to defeat divisional rivals Miami Dolphins and hope Buffalo Bills fail to beat New York Jets but the odds are stacked against the Patriots. They avoided a third straight loss by overcoming Jacksonville Jaguars last week, putting up 50 points in the process. The Dolphins on the other hand saw their seven-game winning run grind to a halt with an untimely loss to Tennessee Titans. Their offense struggled in that game as they managed just a solitary field goal with that loss knocking them out of play-off contention. They will still be up for this as they aim to dent the road team’s hopes to claiming the divisional title and having won back-to-back matchups between the pair, the Fins are the slight preference with the benefit of a +7 start on the spread.
