DALLAS COWBOYS
- Dallas pulled out a big performance when it mattered most as they ended their three-match losing streak to shock Los Angeles Rams with the Cowboys running in 44 points in the huge victory.
- That win saw the Cowboys improve to 7-7 and has now set up this NFC East clash with Dallas knowing they will seal the divisional title with victory over their rivals Philadelphia in a huge contest at Lincoln Financial Field.
- There has been concern regarding Dak Prescott’s finger injury with some suggestions he may have a hairline fracture but he managed to come through Week 15 with a solid showing and should be able to nurse his issue once again in this one.
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
- Philadelphia left it late but secured the victory they needed over Washington as the Eagles made it back-to-back victories and left their play-off fate in their own hands as they moved to 7-7.
- The Eagles were looking at a loss as they trailed with just under five minutes left on the clock but a superb drive orchestrated by quarterback Carson Wentz saw his team pick up the priceless win.
- Having done it tough with injuries of late, the Eagles could be set for a big boost this week with tackle Lane Johnson and running back Jordan Howard both in with a chance of returning to action for this pivotal clash.
THE PREDICTION
This game could be winner takes all in terms of who takes out the NFC
East. Dallas will seal the division with a win but Philadelphia will
put themselves in the driving seat with victory. The Eagles cannot
secure their play-off spot this week due to the head-to-head record
against the Cowboys this season having lost their previous encounter.
Both teams have suffered with injuries recently but with the Cowboys
light at linebacker and the Eagles getting players back healthy, the
home side should be able to edge this.
