New Zealand vs West Indies prediction

New Zealand held their nerve to secure a 3-1 series win against West Indies in their T20i fixtures, coming from behind to win three matches in a row with an abandonment thrown in. This gives them some good momentum ahead of the three ODIs, of which the Black Caps should be considered favourites. This is mainly due to West Indies, who are a lesser team in the longer format of white ball cricket. Many of their top stars are simply far more accustomed to T20 cricket and that is often reflected when it comes to the Windies playing 50-over cricket.

The batters of New Zealand are excellent pacers of an innings and we are likely to see that over the course of this first game in Christchurch. Whether they are setting or chasing a target, it’s that superior style and temperament of ODI batting that should lay the foundations for a home victory to start things off.
