Emily Ducote (12-7) ended 2022 by getting her four-fight streak snapped by the woman headlining the card. Angela Hill earnt a vintage unanimous decision which ended the run that included two knockouts and an Invicta strawweight title defence along with her UFC debut win over Jessica Penne.
Lupita Godinez (9-3) was in a similar boat last year getting outpointed by Hill to halt her momentum. She was coming off two unanimous decision wins over Loma Lookboonmee (2021) and Ariane Carnelossi (2022) and responded to the Hill loss with a split decision win over Cynthia Calvillo back in April.

They meet at a catchweight of 120 lbs as Godinez is filling in for Polyana Viana. This gives Godinez a chance to make the weight but expect both fighters to be stronger and more explosive.
Godinez’s strategy will be the same and that will be to walk Ducote down and make this a wrestling match. She will be relentless in chaining takedowns together to get Ducote on her back.
Ducote is a brilliant striker and packs a lot of power so she will be a threat whenever Godinez steps into range. She is a good boxer and has decent leg kicks but will be more hesitant to throw them in fear of being taken down.
Ducote has the ability to win and hurt the Mexican on the feet however she is too inconsistent and Godinez’s wrestling is too strong to look past her.
