Emma Raducanu vs Veronika Kudermetova prediction

Emma Raducanu will face a step up in class when she meets Veronika Kudermetova in the third round in Rome.

The British number two raced past lucky loser Jill Teichmann for the loss of four games to make it back-to-back wins in the Italian capital, but she’ll need to stay consistent in key moments against the Russian. 

Statistically, clay is Kudermetova’s best surface and the world number 50 impressed in a tough tussle against Amanda Anisimova that she edged 7-6 7-5. 

This will be their first ever meeting and there is very little between them in terms of recent form and rankings. 

It may well come down to who is consistent and brave on the big points and Kudermetova’s greater clay craft may also prove important.
