CHRISTIAN RODRIGUEZ VS ISAAC DULGARIAN LOWDOWN
Christian Rodriguez (10-1) is quickly gaining a reputation as the prospect killer. After submitting Joshua Weems (2022) on debut he was lined up with the hyped Raul Rosas Jr (2023) and humbled the youngest ever UFC fighter in a unanimous decision. He was then fed another prospect in the form of Cameron Saaiman (2023) and also handed him the first loss of his career with a unanimous decision.
Isaac Dulgarian (6-0) is the next prospect in line and is coming off a perfect debut where he pounded out Francis Marshall (2023) at UFC on ESPN 51. That kept up his 100% first-round finish rate which includes four knockouts and two submissions.
CHRISTIAN RODRIGUEZ VS ISAAC DULGARIAN PREDICTION
Rodriguez heads up to featherweight after his struggles making the 135 lb mark. It is the best move for him although there is no guarantee he will make 145 lbs either.
Surprisingly, he is the underdog yet again. That is because Dulgarian is a natural featherweight and very powerful grappler who is expected to take Rodriguez down with ease. However, Rodriguez’s takedown and submission defence is very good and he has the cardio to remain dangerous until the last minute.
That said, there will be a significant power advantage on Dulgarian’s side, and we expect him to be able to take Rodriguez down. This should be very competitive, and Rodriguez makes all the sense for a bet, but we feel Dulgarian’s wrestling is good enough to shut Rodriguez down for two rounds at least.
