Lancashire Lightning vs Worcestershire Rapids prediction

Following a disastrous start to the County Championship season which has seen them fail to win a single match so far, Lancashire announced that they had parted company with head coach Dale Benkenstein by mutual consent on Wednesday, with former player Steven Croft set to take charge on an interim basis. 

Croft’s first assignment will be leading the Red Rose in the T20 Blast group stage and a home fixture will be a welcome one to start with, as Lancashire are notoriously strong at Emirates Old Trafford in T20 cricket.

Worcestershire Rapids’ squad is headlined by Australian overseas bowler Ben Dwarshuis, whilst Ed Pollock’s ability to hit the ball to all parts makes him a dangerous customer. But Lancashire have the stronger T20 squad and will be expected to win at home.
