Now, even victory over the Aussies doesn’t guarantee Korea Republic a second-place finish in Pool C, instead they would wind up tied on two wins with both Australia and Chinese Taipei, setting off a chain of tie-breakers to determine which of the three nations advances through to the knockout stage.

Australia have proven tough opponents throughout pool play. But aside from Japan and Czechia, there has been little to separate the remaining Pool C teams and it would be no surprise to see that continue.
