Canada vs Cuba prediction

The onus is on the Canadians to force the issue here in a must-win game. Victory for Cuba, guarantees them progression to the quarter-finals but they’ll need their bats to heat up after struggling against Puerto Rico in a 1-4 defeat. Canada also suffered a set-back earlier in pool play, losing at the hands of Panama in what was a really sloppy performance. It's important for their sake that we don't see a repeat of those unenforced errors in the field this time around. 

Canada have Cal Quantrill of the Texas Rangers starting for them in this game. He’ll face Livan Moinelo, who featured in Cuba’s 3-1 win over Panama, not allowing a single run across 3.2 innings pitched. With that in mind, we could be in for another low-scoring duel, especially when considering the high stakes involved. Of the eight fixtures so far to take place across Pool A, only two of those have seen eight or more runs scored, so backing under 8.5 total runs between Canada and Cuba appears to be smart play.
