Ismail Naurdiev (24-7) is looking to make it three wins in a row as he returns to action in what is his second spell with the UFC. He went 2-2 in his previous spell back in 2019-20 and returned to the promotion in October last year where hew beat Bruno Silva by unanimous decision.
He takes on Park Jun-yong (18-6) in Baku on Saturday who has been in strong form of late. He comes off a split decision win over Brad Tavares in October last year and he has now gone 8-3 in the UFC.
Naurdiev’s win over Bruno Silva was somewhat surprising but his form otherwise outside of the UFC has been pretty underwhelming. The Korean has won five of his last six, has good momentum behind him, and has fought a better calibre of opponent. For those reasons, we expect Park Jun-yong to win this one.
