Irina Alekseeva (5-2), also known as the Russian Ronda, returns to the Octagon for her first fight since October 2023 and she will be looking to make up for lost time now. She lost a unanimous decision last time out against Melissa Mullins so while she may have some rust to overcome, she will be desperate to return with a victory.
Klaudia Sygula (6-2) is the woman facing her and the Polish fighter is also coming off a loss to Melissa Mullins. That setback came in November last year as she suffered a TKO loss in the second round in what was her UFC debut.
She too will look to bounce back here and show that she can compete at this level. She will have to step up however and that does not bode well when facing Alekseeva who is strong on the mat especially coming off a loss by ground and pound.
Alekseeva’s inactivity is a concern but we rate her as the better fighter and we have to fancy her to get the victory in this one.
