Hamdy Abdelwahab (6-0 with one no contest) makes a swift return to action after only fighting in February last time out. The Egyptian heavyweight had two-and-a-half years out of action due to failing a drugs test and he will now look to make up for lost time.
He picked up a split decision win over Jamal Pogues in February which was just the second time he had gone the distance but he effectively used his wrestling base to get the decision even though he possesses outstanding power.
He now faces Mohammed Usman (10-4) who he was supposed to fight five weeks ago but the bout was moved to this card.
Usman, the brother of star Kamaru, has lost his last two fights and will feel the pressure coming into this one. Similar to Abdelwahab, Usman possesses a really strong wrestling base and relies on that frequently.
There is little to choose between these two but we marginally prefer Abdelwahab. He has the size advantage and the edge in power in striking too. He is out pick to inflict a third successive loss for Usman.
