Inter Milan preview: Beaten in their UCL opener
In their UEFA Champions League league phase opener against 15-time European champions Real Madrid, Internazionale were unfortunate to be beaten 2-1 by Los Blancos at the Bernabeu with Inter putting in a good performance.
Domestically, Inter sit at the top-of-the-table after a 3-0 victory against Parma the other day but there had been some concerns with their performances, going 2-0 down against Napoli, Udinese and Roma before the international break.
Club Brugge preview: Entertaining Club Brugge
Club Brugge have bloodied the nose of most that they have faced in the UEFA Champions League in the last couple of seasons but their lack of defensive solidity has often undermined them and that was the case in their opener.
Up against a then winless Aston Villa, Club Brugge succumbed to a spirited 3-2 defeat to the Premier League outfit at the Jan Breydel Stadion with the Belgians going 3-1 down but pushing hard late on for an equaliser.
Inter Milan team news: English injuries
Summer signings John Stones and Curtis Jones are both sidelined with thigh injuries for Inter at the moment but their fellow England international Djed Spence has got himself up to full match fitness after also moving this summer.
Predicted XI (3-5-2): J. Martinez; Pavard, Bisseck, Bastoni; Diouf, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; L. Martinez, Thuram
Unavailable: Stones (Injured), Jones (Injured)

Club Brugge team news: Still no Ordonez
Ecuador international centre-back Joel Ordonez was set to sign for Crystal Palace at the back end of the summer but a foot injury prevented that move and he remains the only confirmed injury absentee for the Belgians this midweek.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Sommer; Sabbe, Lee, Mechele, Seys; Vetlesen, Potts; Forbs, Vanaken, Virgili; Tresoldi
Unavailable: Ordonez (Injured)

Inter Milan vs Club Brugge prediction
Since that defeat to Aston Villa last month, Club Brugge have gone on to ease to Jupiler Pro League victories against Royal Antwerp, Genk and RAAL La Louviere, scoring ten goals in the process. Club Brugge may well fancy themselves to punish an Inter side that have been leaky this season but the Italians, as has been repeated regularly under Cristian Chivu and even Simone Inzaghi before him, tend to find a way.
