Torino preview: Average Torino

Following the appointment of former AC Milan right-back Ignazio Abate over the summer, Torino have stuttered again at the start of this season and may well be set for a relegation battle in Serie A.

They headed into the international break on the back of earning themselves a 1-1 draw away from home against Bologna, courtesy of a 77th minute equaliser scored by Sandro Kulenovic.

Udinese preview: Enterprising but beaten

Kosta Runjaic is into his third season in charge of Udinese, which is a rarity for the Friulians, and they have shown some enterprise with some decent performances again this season but they have been undermined by those aforementioned three defeats.

The most frustrating of those losses came against strong starters Cagliari at the Bluenergy Stadium a few weeks ago due to a 54th minute winner scored by in-form attacker Daniel Maldini.

Torino team news: Fortini a doubt

Summer signing Niccolo Fortini is a doubt for Torino this weekend with Cesare Casadei and Scotland international striker Che Adams also doubtful for the hosts.

Predicted XI (3-5-1-1): Perri; Comert, Saul Coco, Ismajli; Patterson, Mandragora, Fitz-Jim, Braganca, Cacciamani; Vlasic; Giovanni Simeone

Unavailable: Franco Israel (Injured), Pellegri (Injured)

Questionable: Casadei (Fitness), Fortini (Injured), Adams (Injured)

Udinese team news: Fresh injuries

Udinese have some fresh injuries for this one as both Nicolo Zaniolo and Idrissa Gueye are sidelined, while Keinan Davis is also now a doubt due to a thigh issue.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Okoye; Abankwah, Kabasele, Ebosse; Vojvoda, Miller, Karlstrom, Kamara; Chakvetadze, Ekkelenkamp; Bayo

Unavailable: Zaniolo (Injured), Gueye (Injured)

Questionable: Palma (Injured), Juan Arizala (Fitness), Piotrowski (Injured), Davis (Injured)

Torino vs Udinese prediction

Udinese will believe they can take the game to Torino here. They have a good squad with a good coach and will fancy themselves to eventually ease themselves back into the top half of Serie A. Torino are under a bit of pressure and do appear to lack a bit of identity with no real quality in either defence or attack and so siding with Udinese would appear the way to go for this one at Stadio Grande Torino.

Torino vs Udinese tip: Double chance – Torino to win or draw
