India vs Afghanistan prediction

India were always expected to prove far stronger than Afghanistan and that was certainly the case in Dharamsala, as Shubman Gill’s side cruised to a seven wicket victory. The captain stuck an unbeaten 84 in a run chase of 195, which was completed inside 23 overs. India’s win came in spite of an incredible century from opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz off just 51 balls. But it was with no support as the second highest Afghanistan scorer made just 27.

Even if Afghanistan were to put in a better all-round showing this time around, it isn’t expected to prove enough against such a stacked Indian line-up. Opening for the home side, Gill should get plenty of time at the crease and it’s likely that we saw him accumulate another healthy score. Back a batter of his class to register another half-century.

India vs Afghanistan tip: Shubman Gill to score 50+ runs
