After a resounding Test victory, India are hunting a similar result against Afghanistan in the ODIs.

India vs Afghanistan prediction

India’s biggest opposition heading into this first ODI between them and Afghanistan could well be the weather, with a bad forecast expected in Dharamsala. However, assuming they do get enough play in to constitute a game, the hosts will be expected to dominate with the white ball, as we saw them do against the same opposition with the red ball.

Whether it be batting or bowling, India are well stocked and capable of high-calibre showings. Whilst Afghanistan should pose a threat with their spinners in particular, there is arguably no better players of spin than what we usually see from this Indian team. Expect the hosts to record another thumping victory if the rain stays clear for long enough.

India vs Afghanistan tip: India to win
