TSZ TIPS

COLLIN MORIKAWA

  • There are some big names among the field for this European Tour event in Abu Dhabi with Rory McIlory and Viktor Hovland taking part alongside Collin Morikawa and it is the American that makes appeal to lift the trophy.
  • Morikawa is a single-figure favourite for the event but he is extremely reliable and has shown his class both on the PGA Tour and European Tour in recent years which has propelled him to second in the world rankings. Despite his short price, Morikawa should get into the mix here and has to be considered.

TIP: Winner (15/2)

ROBERT MACINTYRE

  • Robert MacIntyre is ready for a breakout year after somewhat underwhelming in 2021 but he can start 2022 in the right way by producing a solid effort to mix it with some of the best in the world in this event and a top 20 finish would be a decent return.
  • The Scot finished in a tie for fourth spot at the Tour Championship and while he has not been seen since, MacIntyre was able to show his quality across those four rounds to finish four shots behind the winner, which happened to be Morikawa.

TIP: Top 20 finish (17/10)
