Gillingham vs Barrow prediction

Gareth Ainsworth’s Gillingham earned themselves a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Shrewsbury Town last weekend. That means that Gills now sit just outside of the top seven and the play-off places in League Two, with an inconsistent run of form but with a good foundation laid.

Barrow, having been relegated down to the National League last season, shared a 1-1 draw with Eastleigh at Holker Street last weekend. They, too, have been inconsistent this time around, sitting outside of the play-off spots in the fifth-tier. The Cumbrians eased to a comfortable 2-0 defeat of Gloucester City in a fourth qualifying round replay a few weeks ago.

Barrow are a largely conservative and low-scoring team which can also be said of Gillingham, in typical Ainsworth fashion, and so while the hosts remain favourites, it may not be a thriller for the neutral.

Gillingham vs Barrow tip: Gillingham to win & under 3.5 goals
