Key stats
- Germany and Denmark have met four times previously in UEFA Women’s EURO final tournaments with each team winning twice. The most recent encounter being on Matchday 1 of the 2022 finals when Germany recorded a 4-0 victory, thus avenging a 2-1 defeat against Denmark in the quarter-finals of the 2017 edition. Germany vs Denmark prediction
Germany endured a shock group stage exit from the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, but the runners’ up of this tournament from three years ago have been much-improved of late. They began their tournament in controlled and comfortable fashion, too, as they eventually cruised to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Poland the other day.
They now face a Denmark side that will believe they have a chance of qualifying for the knockout stages, but they simply have to at least avoid defeat in this one against the Germans. The Danes began the 2025 UEFA Women’s Championship with a slender 1-0 loss to neighbours Sweden in a low quality affair at the weekend.
Denmark are unlikely to be able to take the game to Germany, so it will be a case of Germany forcing the issue and they should get over the line without having to worry too much.
