Perhaps one of the more under-the-radar names in the Saudi Arabia squad but a player who could become a lot more prominent this summer is wing-back Mohammed Abu Al Shamat. With Georgios Donis’ flexible style from a wing-back system into a 4-4-2, the attacking potential of Abu Al Shamat could be crucial for The Green Falcons. The 23-year-old defender made his debut back in 2023 but has been on the periphery of the national side for the last few years. However, having shone for Brendan Rodgers’ Al Qadsiah this season, it looks like he could start this summer and his ability to contribute in attack from the back could be eye-catching for the Saudi Arabians.
