There are some impressive talents in attack for the South Africans, such as the likes of Oswin Appollis and Themba Zwane, but both of those players were left out by Hugo Broos in their opener with Bafana Bafana’s attack being built around Burnley striker Lyle Foster. The Burnley attacker didn’t enjoy an enormous amount of success in that game but, with the pedigree of playing his football in Europe, Broos showed that, with the dropping of Zwane and Appollis, Foster is the man that the South Africans will build their attack around as they seek to reach the knockout stages at FIFA World Cup 2026.
