Manchester City defender Josko Gvardiol has endured an injury-hit campaign at the Etihad Stadium. Following his mega money move from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023, Gvardiol established himself as a key man for City over the next couple of seasons, playing at both centre-back and left-back, providing defensive solidity as well as a goal threat. He did, though, manage just 18 appearances in the Premier League last season. The 24-year-old defender provides a crucially youthful but still impressive foundation for the experienced Croatia.
