Since the appointment of former Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores, who is their third manager of the campaign after Jose Luis Mendilibar and Diego Alonso, Sevilla have enjoyed an improvement in performances and results but the Andalusian giants remain involved down in the relegation battle in La Liga.
They come into this one on the back of conceding a 95th minute equaliser to bottom-of-the-table and still winless Almeria in their most recent outing, last weekend. That means they begin the weekend sitting just six points and a few places above the bottom three and the relegation places but they have suffered just one loss in their last seven matches.
CELTA VIGO
After terrible results but fairly impressive performances in the first-half of the campaign, Celta Vigo stuck by former Liverpool and Real Madrid boss Rafa Benitez and that had appeared to be a good decision but the Galicians have regressed again and are now underperforming with the gap between themselves and the bottom three being closed.
They come into this one on the back of being thrashed by four goals to nil in their most recent outing at the Bernabeu, last weekend. Carlo Ancelotti’s Los Blancos had goals from Vinicius Junior and Arda Guler in that game, sandwiching own goals by goalkeeper Vicente Guaita and midfielder Carlos Dominguez in the second-half.
