THE PREDICTION
Alaves’ 4-0 defeat away to in-form and top four Real Betis in midweek has extended their winless run of form to eight matches in all competitions and nine in the league. The Basque side begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting tucked inside the bottom three and the relegation places ahead. They now come up against a Barcelona side that suffered a Supercopa semi-final defeat to Real Madrid in Saudi Arabia last week before losing to Athletic in the Copa del Rey after extra time in midweek.
