This match is being played in what is usually a typically fierce and more hostile atmosphere in Guimaraes at Estadio Afonso Henriques. The Portuguese national team were dominant in UEFA EURO 2024 qualification with Roberto Martinez’ men winning all ten matches and scoring 36 goals in the process with just two conceded. They now face a Swedish side that have an abundance of fresh attacking talent, such as Alexander Isak, Viktor Gyokeres, Dejan Kulusevski and Anthony Elanga, but significantly underperformed in 2023 and even 2022.
