THE PREDICTION
Tunisia are one of the strongest sides in CAF’s 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification but struggled in the November qualifiers, despite hanging onto top spot above Equatorial Guinea in their group. In this tournament, they have been strong but capable of a blip with two wins and a surprise 2-0 defeat against Syria. They come up against an Oman side that won one, drew one and lost one of their group stage matches so far. Oman have been very stubborn in AFC qualification and just eight goals combined in their three matches was emblematic of a more low-scoring theme, once again, in this tournament. This, especially given it is a knockout match, is unlikely to be free-flowing so under 2.5 goals seems likely.
