THE PREDICTION

Union Berlin were victims of arguably the biggest shock in this season’s Bundesliga season so far last weekend as they were beaten 1-0 by rock bottom Greuther Furth, who had previously accrued just one point across the whole season prior to that match. A reaction is key from Union here against a Freiburg side who have lost four of their last five league matches. Most importantly from Union Berlin’s perspective is that home advantage is in their favour when considering that they have won four of their five most recent Bundesliga fixures at Stadion An der Alten Försterei with their only loss coming against league leaders Bayern Munich. Clearly Union Berlin are far more comfortable in surroundings they are familiar with in front of their own fans and with the home side expected to come out of the blocks firing here, backing them draw no bet appears the smart play in this one.
