THE PREDICTION

Bayern Munich saw Borussia Dortmund gain three points of ground on them in the battle at the top of the Bundesliga after the reigning champions were beaten 1-2 by Borussia Monchengladbach. However, Julian Nagelsmann’s side were dogged by Covid-19 related absences within their squad and a far stronger Bayern team is expected to line-up up here against Koln. The hosts are in excellent form with three straight league victories under their belts, but Bayern represent a challenge on a far superior level of difficulty compared to those matches. With Nagelsmann able to field a starting XI that isn’t fitting square pegs into round holes as he did against Monchengladbach, Bayern have to be favoured to bounce back by picking up a hard-fought three points at RheinEnergieStadion.
