Armenian coach Michel Der Zakarian has been majorly under pressure at times this season but Montpellier Herault have majorly improved, both in terms of performances and results in the last few weeks, as they try and push themselves away from the bottom three and the danger zone ahead of this weekend’s round of fixtures.
Montpellier come into this on the back of a 2-1 defeat of Toulouse at Stadium de Toulouse. Teji Savanier opened the scoring after 27 minutes before Thijs Dallinga’s equaliser a few minutes later. Both Savanier and Rasmus Nicolaisen were sent off late on but Montpellier nicked all three points with a winner from Khalil Fayad.
MONACO
Under the management of former Borussia Monchengladbach boss Adi Hutter, Monaco play some of the most entertaining football in France’s top-flight with their 32 matches so far this season consisting of a combined total of 104 goals. They sit tucked inside the top three and the UEFA Champions League qualifying spots, too.
The Monagasque are finishing with a bit of a flourish, though, as they come into this one on the back of a 4-1 hammering of Clermont last weekend at Stade Louis II with Takumi Minamino opening the scoring and then Breel Embolo notching after that with a late brace being scored by France striker Wissam Ben Yedder.

These are arguably the two in-form sides in the whole of Ligue 1 and they will be aiming to get straight on the front foot against each other as they attempt to continue their fine form through to the finish line. Montpellier are unbeaten in their last six matches with both teams scoring in four of those. Monaco have won five of their last six matches with one of the most intense pressing styles in the league so a high-scoring affair would seem a good bet.
