After successive defeats – including a heavy 1-5 defeat at the hands of league leaders PSG – reigning champions Lille got back on track with a gritty 0-1 victory away at Montpellier last weekend and they now turn their attentions to this clash with Metz, who are currently embroiled in a fierce battle to avoid relegation. The visitors were somewhat unlucky to lose to Marseille last time out as they battled well throughout that contest, but their level of performance has at least been fairly solid in recent times. They have shown improvement in the defensive areas and with Lille not exactly prolific going forward, there is value to be had in the under 2.5 goals market.
