WOLVES
Wolves' pattern of alternating wins and losses continued with a 2-0 defeat to Man Utd last weekend, leaving the Black Cats in 13th place with just two games remaining. They can finish as high as 11th but are mathematically safe from relegation, so motivation may in question with the end of the season in sight.
Julen Lopetegui's side went behind to an Anthony Martial goal just after the hour-mark, and although they managed to stay in the game despite plenty of pressure from their opponents, Alejandro Garnacho eventually doubled Utd's advantage with his strike in second-half injury-time. Wolves ended the game without a single shot on target, and they have now gone six away games without victory. Fortunately for them, this fixture sees them return to Molineux, where they have won their last four without conceding.
EVERTON
Everton's defeat to Man City last week was not wholly unexpected and Sean Dyche knows that he will not be judged on such fixtures, and he will be targeting positive results both against Wolves and against Bournemouth on the final day of the season in order to ensure Premier League survival.
In fariness to the Toffees, they held out for the majority of the first half against the champions-in-waiting, and it took a moment of magic from in-form Ilkay Gundogan to break the deadlock. Once Pickford's net had been breached though, it took only two minutes for Erling Haaland to score his 52nd goal of a remarkable season. Gundogan then scored a second not long after the break to put the victory beyond doubt, leaving Everton just one place above the relegation zone heading into this fixture.
THE TEAM NEWS
WOLVES
Daniel Bentley was a surprise starter in goal last time out with usual first-choice goalkeeper Jose Sa having to settle for a spot on the bench. In his pre-match press conference, Julen Lopetegui refused to state which goalkeeper would don the gloves for Wolves's final home game of the season.
Elsewhere, one unnamed player is considered a doubt and will be assessed, so Chiquinho and Sasa Kalajdzic are the only known absentees, while Boubacar Traore has been struggling for fitness of late and has not been involved in the Black Cats' squad since last year.
Lopetegui has plenty of options available in midfield should he wish to switch things up, with the likes of Joao Moutinho and Adama Traore viable options, while up front he has Raul Jimeneze and Hwang Hee-chan at his disposal as alternatives to Diego Costa and Matheus Cunha.

EVERTON
Vitalii Mykolenko is a big doubt for this one, and with Ruben Vinagre, Ben Godfrey and Seamus Coleman absent, the Toffees are particularly short in the full-back area. Sean Dyche hinted at a change of shape in order to account for this, which brings up the potential for a three-at-the-back system. If that is to be the case, then Alex Iwobi and the versatile Dwight McNeil could feature at wing-back, with Abdoulaye Doucoure, James Garner and Idriss Gueye occupying the central midfield spots.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin only managed one half of football against Man City and is carrying a knock, but Dyche sounded positive when questioned about his participation in this fixture. If a 3-5-2 system is chosen, then either Demarai Gray or Neal Maupay could partner DCL should he recover.
Meanwhile, Conor Coady is ineligible to face his parent club while Tom Davies looks highly likely to miss out due to a hamstring tendon complaint.

THE PREDICTION
This is yet another huge game for Everton in their bid to retain their Premier League status and it will perhaps go in their favour that they are facing a team who have very little to play for at this stage of the season. Wolves, though, can be a tough nut to crack at home having won their last four at Molineux without conceding a single goal. This will no doubt be a tense affair given the circumstances for the visitors, and given that this is a meeting between two of the lowest scorers in the division, under 2.5 goals looks like a reasonable market to consider.
