Tottenham are ending the season with a whimper as just one win from their last six games has left them in real danger of not qualifying for Europe next season. As sixth-place finish and a Europa League berth is the best they can hope for in what has been a hugely disappointing campaign overall.
Their defeat to Aston Villa last weekend was fully deserved and looked on the cards after just eight minutes when Jacob Ramsey opened the scoring. Douglas Luiz doubles Villa's advantage in the second half, and only a late Harry Kane penalty made the scoreline a little more respectable for Ryan Mason's men. They now prepare for their final home game of the season and their fans will be expecting a performance that will give them some hope of better things to come next season.
BRENTFORD
After enduring something of a rough patch not so long back, Brentford appear to be ending the season on a positive note with three wins from their last four guaranteeing a top-half finish for Thomas Frank's side, and they will now seek a first ever victory over Tottenham when they visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
The news that Ivan Toney will miss the next eight months of action is no doubt a blow, but in the short term they can seek solace in the fact they beat West Ham rather comfortably last week without their talismanic striker, who was injured at the time. First-half goals from Brian Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa did the damage for the Bees, and they will need their forwards to be firing once again as they have drawn a blank in three of Brentford's last four away games in the Premier League.

Neither Eric Dier nor Japhet Tanganga made the Spurs squad last week with knocks and they remain doubtful for this one, while Yves Bissouma made his return from injury against Aston Villa and is likely to receive more minutes, although a start does seem unlikely.
Ivan Perisic will vie with Ben Davies for one of the full-back spots, and Dejan Kulusevski could be prefered to either Heung-Min Son or Richarlison should Ryan Mason wish to switch things up in attack. Hugo Lloris, Ryan Sessegnon and Rodrigo Bentancur remain on the sidelines.

There is plenty of doom and gloom around North London clubs at the moment and Spurs are perhaps a little fortunate that Arsenal's near-guaranteed title capitulation has taken much of the attention away from their own shortcomings. Be that as it may, they will be under pressure to perform here against a Brentford side who realistically have nothing left to play for. Harry Kane can at least hold his head up high this season and he continues to find the net regularly despite those around him underperforming. He will be determined to give the home fans something to cheer about so backing the England international to score anytime is the tip.
