THE LOWDOWN
EVERTON
After two straight wins in all competitions, Everton suffered a setback when they lost to promoted side Luton last weekend, although the Toffees do remain just outside of the relegation places heading into the weekend's fixtures.
All the action against Luton took place in the first half, with the Hatters going ahead through captain Tom Lockyer, before Carlton Morris doubled their advantage just after the half-hour mark. Dominic Calvert-Lewin pulled one back for Sean Dyche's men before the break, but the second half was one of frustration for Everton as they were unable to add to their tally.
BOURNEMOUTH
Bournemouth are one of only two winless sides in the Premier League in what has been a difficult start to life in the hot seat for Andoni Iraola.
The Cherries were easily swatted aside by Arsenal at the Vitality Stadium last week, as goals from Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz and Ben White consigned the south coast outfit to their fourth Premier League defeat of the campaign.
THE TEAM NEWS

There are no new injuries to report in the Toffees camp with Seamus Coleman, Andre Gomes and Dele Alli the only players currently sidelined.

PREDICTED XI (4-4-1-1): Pickford; Young, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Garner, Onana, Gueye, McNeil; Doucoure; Calvert-Lewin

THE PREDICTION
Two struggling sides lock horns here in a match that both teams will be desperate to win. Bournemouth are yet to experience victory in the Premier League this season, but Andoni will be viewing this contest as an excellent opportunity to put points on the board against a potential relegation rival. Ultimately though, it could be a frustrating afternoon for both teams with a share of the spoils very much on the cards, although the fit-again Dominic Calvert-Lewin has the potential to be the difference maker for the hosts.
