THE LOWDOWN
BRIGHTON
Brighton secured European football for next season, and a Europa League place at that, with a 3-1 victory over relegated side Southampton on Sunday, and they could even finish as high as fifth if they win their remaining two games and Liverpool slip-up on the last day of the season.
18-year old forward Evan Ferguson has well and truly announced himself this season and his stock rose even further with a fine first-half brace against the Saints. Mohamed Elyounoussi halved the deficit just before the hour mark, bur Pascal Gross sealed the win a little over then minutes here, ensuring an historic first ever European qualification for the Seagulls. Technically, it could still be a Europa Conference League spot, but given their considerably superior goal difference over Aston Villa, the Europa League will surely be their destination.
MAN CITY
Guessing Pep Guardiola's starting line-up is a nigh-on impossible task but we can at least assume that some of the players rested against Chelsea will feature from the start here, namely Ederson, Ruben Dias, Ilkay Gundogan, Jack Grealish and Kevin De Bruyne. Guardiola will want to retain their sharpness ahead of some huge games but don't be surprised if they are brought off early. Erling Haaland is another who could start after a benching last time out, but the likes of Kalvin Phillips and Cole Palmer could receive more gametime.
It remains unlikely that Nathan Ake will feature due to his ongoing hamstring injury, but Pep Guardiola is otherwise blessed with a fully-fit squad at his disposal.
THE TEAM NEWS
BRIGHTON
With this being Brighton's final home game of what has been an excellent season, Roberto De Zerbi will surely field the majority of his favoured personnel in what is likely to be an excellent reception from the home fans. The win over Southampton saw Joel Veltman make a long-awaited return to the team at right-back, allowing Moises Caicedo and Pascal Gross to resume their defensive midfield partnership. Billy Gilmour is another option in the pivot though, after putting in some impressive performances lately.
De Zerbi has plenty of options up front, but Evan Ferguson - despite rarely starting in consecutive games this season - could be favoured after his brace against Southampton. Adam Webster, Tariq Lamptey, Jakub Moder, Adam Lallana, Solly March and Jeremy Sarmiento remain out injured.

THE PREDICTION
With both teams in high spirits after achieving their respective goals over the weekend, this could be an entertaining affair given that the shackles will be off. The biggest danger for City is that motivation levels may drop after they secured the title, but you could argue the same for Brighton given that they have already secured European football. Regardless of the victor, expect attacking football to be at the forefront of both sides' approach and that could lead to a contest featuring over 2.5 goals.
