THE PREDICTION

Both these sides are coming off the back of victories and clean sheets this past weekend. Newcastle ended a run of nine Premier League games without a win after beating Everton 0-2 at Goodison Park. The performance was unrecognisable compared to previous Newcastle games and many have speculated about the influence new assistant head coach Graeme Jones has had on the side. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace edged past Wolves 1-0 at Selhurst Park, a welcome triumph following two successive defeats. Whilst Newcastle will look to take the game to the visitors, likely deploying the 4-4-3-1-2 formation that worked so well at the weekend, Palace will as always prove incredibly dangerous on the break with pacy outlets such as Wilfried Zaha and Eberechi Eze within their ranks. With the two teams desperate to avoid defeat and not ruin the hard work put in over the weekend, it may be the case that both sides are happy to settle for a point in this one.
