It’s been a tough couple of weeks for the Croatian with only a single win across both the Canadian Open and Cincinnati Open. The same cannot be said of her opponent, who reaching the third round in Montreal and the second in Cincy.
Ruzic runs into Nikola Bartunkova at a bad time with the latter full of confidence and playing some very nice tennis. If Bartunkova starts well here, then it would be no surprise if Ruzic is unable to recover and battle back. The smart move from a form perspective, is to back Bartunkova advancing.
