THE PREDICTION

Liverpool may just be showing a renaissance at just the right time after securing a second successive 1-3 victory in the Premier League last time out, this time against West Ham. The defending champions currently sit third in the table, but cannot lose focus here against Brighton with a showdown against league leaders Man City looming this coming Sunday. The Seagulls are fighting hard to stay out of the bottom three and secured a vital 1-0 win at home to Spurs over the weekend. Brighton will see this match as a free hit and will no doubt put bodies behind the ball in bulk, in an attempt to frustrate the hosts and hit them on the counter attack. However, Liverpool are starting to show signs of their old self and despite numerous injury absences, should have enough in the tank to pick up three points here at home.
